Review & swatches: Sleek I-Divine Oh So Special palette

The Oh So Special palette’s my other new Sleek purchase – it’s a permanent addition and a possible rival to Urban Decay’s famous Naked palette. I was drawn to this palette because some of the shades look great as blushers.

L-R: Bow, Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz, Celebrate
Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, Noir
Some lovely pigmented shimmery shades – I especially love Gift Basket, Glitz (like UD’s Gunmetal) and Celebrate. Organza and Gateau are a bit too sparkly for daily blush but might be nice on a night out. Bow is a bit chalky and kind of disappeared when I applied it, but Ribbon is beautiful as a blush. Boxed and Wrapped Up are two really excellent matte shades – not at all chalky! – whereas The Mail is a tan shade I can’t imagine finding much use for. Again, we have Sleek’s brilliant black matte at the end.
Sleek’s Oh So Special palette is permanent and available from Superdrug or for £6.49.

Swatch post! Sleek I-Divine Curaçao Palette

Sleek, although a relative newcomer in UK drugstore beauty brands, has cemented a reputation as one of the best value brands. Their bargainous 12-shade palettes are up there with MAC and Urban Decay and so I was super excited to find the new Curaçao palette in Superdrug the other day!

Put me on your face!
Everyone’s done swatches, so I thought I’d join in the fun. These shades are swatched over UD Primer potion.
L-R: Tequila Sunrise, Martini, Blue Hawaiian, Bloody Mary, Screwdriver
L-R: Apres Midori, Blue Lagoon, Purple Haze, Green Martini, Singapore Sling, Espresso Martini
The shimmers, as always, are brilliantly pigmented and super silky to apply. I love this orange something ridiculous. Green Martini reminds me a bit of UD’s Mildew eyeshadow.
While some of the mattes can be a little chalky – the purple in particular is quite hard to blend – I think the yellow and the turquoise shades are great. Possibly not quite as amazing as Sugarpill’s mattes, but great for the price. Additionally, the black from the Circus palette has become my new go-to black, replacing MAC’s legendary Carbon – it’s just more pigmented and way easier to apply. Brilliance. I just wish they’d stop putting the black in nearly every palette they do, as I’ve now got three of them!
Sleek Curaçao palette is £6.49 and available from Superdrug or It’s limited edition, so get it while you can!

Today’s makeup: Peacock greens

I’m still alive. Exams and work have got in the way – and whenever I have time to take pictures of makeup it’s always the evening when the light is bad! But I managed to get a picture of this one.

And the biggest shock of them all… the blue is gone! My hair was briefly pink for a few weeks, but now it’s back to a more natural brown colour. And I love it! It’s in amazingly good condition considering it’s basically been bleached to death and dyed over so many times…
